Calculates a basic set of quantities for objects with 3D geometry.

Shadow areas are only calculated if the tool is run with the SHADOWAREAS=ON configuration,

## Length (simplebim)

The largest dimension of the object’s axis aligned bounding box.

## Width (simplebim)

The smallest dimension of the object’s axis aligned bounding box.

## Height (simplebim)

The middle dimension of the object’s axis aligned bounding box.

Total area of the object’s surfaces. The area of the shell.

The area of the object’s shadow in the horizontal plane not taken into account openings in the shadow.

Walls with curved baseline are special and only have Area, largest surface, net (simplebim) and Volume, net (simplebim).

The larger gross side area of the object. A side area is either the area of the vertical surfaces of the object pointing to the y positive or negative direction in object’s local coordinates. Gross area is the net area of the object plus the opening element areas of the object. Note that this depends on how the openings are modeled.

Gross area is the net area of the object plus the opening element areas of the object. Note that this depends on how the openings are modeled.

The smallest area of the following three: object’s opening clipped from either side of the hosting object’s surfaces, object’s opening clipped from the middle of the opening. If the clipping area calculation fails, then the bounding box area is used: Width (simplebim) * Height (simplebim).
